I bought a Revelation suitcase in the luggage department in Jan 2009 & went travelling in India & China for 3 months. When I took out my suitcase again to pack it to go away in November the whole zip had come away from the body & I was due to leave the next day for Africa. I took the suitcase back to the store (luckily I live quite close) and a nice lady in the luggage department lent me a Samsonite. Very good suitcase - except that one of the locks was broken, which made me nervous that the whole thing would fall apart. So due to travel again in China in February I took that back and bought a new Antler - of course the price of the original buy was deducted, and the nice lady assured me that this one had a 10 yr guarantee instead of the usual 7 yrs - and that it was actually made in China. Hmm. By the time I reached HongKong, on Cathay Pacific - a pretty good airline - the handle had got stuck halfway up - impossible to move it either up or down, which of course makes it very hard to fit into a taxi, and when I took a domestic flight the sticking out handle of course became bent as well.
What does a 10 year guarantee mean in this case? How am I going to get it back to the UK? Why does this store sell such junk?
