Glad to see you are still in business. My mother used to shop there with me in the 1940/50, then take me to tea in the Lyons Cornerhouse next door.
Does the town still have the horses water trough with a cup and chain for public use which used to be near the church?
Pearsons was established back in 1903 when Arthur and Stanley Pearson acquired a drapery business, which was to become Pearsons of Enfield. At this time the staff consisted of two sales ladies, two salesmen and a porter whose duties included delivering customers orders on his bicycle. This family owned and run business now employs more than 400 people and has additional stores in Bishop's Stortford and East Barnet.
