Johnsons Dry Cleaners

It is incredibly expensive for a pretty average service.
I dropped in 3 jumpers and they didn't look any better than when I dropped them off.

I tried changing to them as they are closer to my home than my usual cleaners, and they claim to be silk specialists. However they were unable to clean my silk skirt (that my usual cleaner had no problem with). Which honestly I would have been ok with, but what really bothered me was the terrible and curt service. First I asked if they could do 24 hour service, the shop girl replied they could not, but said she could definitely have it done by the following day at 5, which I agreed to as I really did not need it until the following evening anyway. But when I stopped by for it, it was not done, not only did she (the exact same girl) not apologize, but she said it was my fault as if I needed it so soon I should have used the 24 hour service. When I told her she said there was no 24 hour service two days ago, she replied she ‘never said that, and I didn’t ask’. Then when I went in the second time to pick it up, there was a note attached to the skirt (that they tried to get my out of the shop before I read) stating that they could not clean the skirt. When I said I would like my money back as it was returned too late and not cleaned, they informed me (in a very rude, and very demeaning fashion) that ‘customers do not pay them to clean the cloths, they pay them to try to clean the cloths,’ and said I was informed of this when I dropped it off (I wasn’t). When I asked about the late service, she admitted it was supposed to be done on Wednesday, but follow up by saying it was done on Thursday, as though she felt that being only one day off was fine. For this they actually charge more than very nearby competitors who actually get your cloths clean. I absolutely recommend against them.
