Ordered cod & chips: The cod was underdone and watery and the chips were soggy. I used to go out of my way to use this place because of the high quality fish & chips, not any more. I think the original owner sold up. Looks like he sold up and took the quality with him.

Would not recommend. Lived in the area for 30 + years and have always stayed clear of this establishment. Decided to give it a shot as a last chance (one Sunday evening) only to find it under staffed and unorganised. Gave my order waited 20 minutes to be told that they had forgotten to make it. In all honestly this probably saved me as whilst waiting I watched as they handled raw food before preparing customers salads to take away. Shocking to say the least. No improvement needed just stay away.

Didn't take card which is a bit annoying. Chips fairly cardboard-like, batter completely wrong (thin dense layer and not completely cooked through rather than light and fluffy like it should be), vinegar watered down.
Mushy peas good, fish fresh but expensive. The large cod wasn't particularly large. Other bits of fish in the display were very small, so I hope they weren't examples of the normal portion size.
Can improve by using correct temperature to cook both the fish and the chips, and serving unadulterated vinegar. To find watered down vinegar was very disappointing.

When I first moved to the area two years ago I thought the fish and chips ( take away) were good. I went six months ago and they'd gone down hill, about three months I thought I'd give it one last chance. I've never had such a bad experience in my life with fish and chips. They were so revolting I threw them straight in the bin. What's happened to my favourite chippie?

Just phoned and picked up and eaten the most delicious chicken kebab and chips.I was impressed how well organised they all were in there.Yum yum.

I have used the shop for many years. It is simply the best fish and chip/kebab shop I have ever known (and I am no spring chicken!). The quality, quantity and freshness of the fish and chips, kebabs and salad are beyond excellent. The staff are cheerful and efficient. Please keep up the superb work.

Have been getting kebabs from Oh My Cod for years. Always had plenty of salad and chicken! The staff are all friendly and welcoming. I've tried other kebabs from different places but nothing beats Oh My Cod. I recommend them to everyone! The fish and chip side are great aswell! In fact sometimes, you just can't finish your meal!! I honestly haven't found a better kebab!!!

Used to go to this place all the time, but lately (about the last 12 months) noticed Kebabs have reduced in size dramatically, hardly any salad and chicken - i couldnt finish the kebab before, now i am left hungry !
Also, if you telephone your order, you are likely to get cut off when put on hold - they will also get your order wrong when you go to pick up - so best check it when you arrive.

I work here and to be unbiased this is one of the best kebab shops I've eaten from thee kebabs are very fairly priced £5 for small chicken or £6.90 for a large the amount of salad is reflective to the kebab u can't expect to get enough salad to feed two people when only buying a small. All the kebabs are freshly prepared every day and marinated by the chefs with their own recipe. Everything from the kebab side is top quality; chicken is only breast meat, the lamb is only from top choice cuts and the kofte is hand made and the best I e ever tasted.
The fish and chip side of the shop is also top quality: all the fish is fresh and has never been frozen(unlike 90% of other shops).
The manager strives for the best of the best: he will not buy lesser quality good just because it's cheaper. He aims for top class friendly and quality service.
I my self have worked in many shops and this is one of the cleanest I have ever been in, also one of the best places to work.

Top quality fish and chips and the kebabs really are the best in town. The only small downer is that sometimes you get so much meat and salad it's difficult to keep the monster under control. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Nice staff and always prompt service.
They also take telephone orders.
