Previous experience has shown this to be a good garage, albeit somewhat expensive. I was surprised to find out that while performing my last service, they used my car, charged me for the petrol, and incurred a penalty charge notice. On top of this they had the audacity to tell me that road tests are frequently performed on cars in their care, even after it has had a service and MOT. I THINK THAT THIS SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

All cars which have a full service must be test driven before and after the service to make sure that all functions are up to the standard, especially if it had brakes replacement. We do not know who this customer is and if this incident is ture, however, he or she should have reported the ticket to us immediately and would reinburse it. If the car is presented without any petrol, we will partially fill it and carry out the road test and charge the customer accordingly.
This customer has used Smith & Hunter previously and it is his first to complain, why didn't he complain directly to us? Very strange.
