Used to be one of preferred local shops until the day I was mistreated by 3 members of the staff.
I asked for help as bags were too heavy I asked to borrow one of the shopping carts to take my bags to my door and replace it straight away, I even offered to leave my contact as I used to be a regular customer.
I understood they were in their right to refuse, so 3 members of the staff called each other since the first didn’t seem to understand and refused.
I understood and decided to leave, but as I was grabbing my bags from the floor and a customer approached the till, 2 of the workers began to tell me to take my bags away and then started to shout at me to take my bags and leave because I was in the way! - while I was struggling to grab the bags. In any moment was I disrespectful or shouting to them, but they continued as I was some kind of intruder that they just wanted to immediately kick out from the store, when few minutes before I have spent almost £80. But I could even spent a £1000 or £1, that kind of attitude towards a customer is not acceptable!
As I left the store, the lady went outside setting the shopping carts apparently to make sure I wouldn’t steal any… if I was to steal I wouldn’t have asked in the first place.
One of them even said they don’t do charity, well for a person spending the amount we did begging to have their shoppings paid, that would be charity!
Although they were right by refusing, it just showed they don’t care less about disrespecting people. For some reason they assumed I was less deserving of respect, and the fact my mother was with a walking frame was the reason they assumed we were in need of “charity”, for him to be comfortable to say that was humiliating and disrespectful towards my mother as well.
Have no words to describe the treatment they “provided” which was petty and shameful for people who work in places like that. They treated with so much contempt I can say literally like “rubbish”.
To those 3 workers, they really did well giving a bad reputation to their Company.
Not to mention they weren’t even wearing masks while shouting close at me.
Never underestimate the people you deal with.
More respect to those you serve in your establishments, who are the same ones who keep your doors open while many others were forced to close.
Disgusted to ever step into a place like that again.
Have your say
