Overall productivity is okay but tiller staff need intense customer serviceskills which is lacking in that shop Anti social BEHAVIOUR irritating
condensing arrogant people in-store especially one female nosy staff reading my products labels when ABOUT purchasing VERY disrespectful and RUDE though l told her she should not be reading brands totally ignored didn't care What l said my face ? said it ALL ie don't be ?? NOSEY l said PREVIOUSLY not to do so as my back turned she read my further products placed on counter.

As other reviewers say they have a fantastic range of products at a very reasonable price. I know people who come across London to shop there.
They stock a good range of ethically sourced products, organic teas and coffees and I love the ranges of nuts, dried fruits, jams, flour, oats, cereals and pulses and the self-service section with dried goods and spices. There are some refrigerated goods along the back walls too. I never buy honey anywhere else. You can find breads and cakes available at the counter and some natural soaps and body products with a good variety of vitamins and minerals too. For a small shop they pack a lot in and the boss is willing to put things on order when possible. It's a wonderful source and resource for the people of Brixton and we love it. The people who work there are polite enough. It's a breath of fresh air compared to a supermarket. I've been lucky enough to use it for 45 years without complaint and hope to continue.

Have shopped here a few times and have to say the staff need an intensive course in customer service skills. On more than one occasion I've seen one staff member in particular, a white-haired French woman, be incredibly rude to different customers without provocation. Last week I witnessed her shout at a customer who tried to ask for assistance before she'd even finished her sentence. Here's how it went...Tiny Asian lady: 'Excuse me, can I ask....' French woman shouts: 'I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF DOING SOMETHING!!!' I don't like giving money to nasty people so I won't be back!

I love this shop, I've been using it for more than 25 years. The staff heve real individuality, the customers feel like family. They have a wide selection of goods that are hard to find elsewhere. The stock of cereal is unparalleled - oats, rye, quinoa, barley, spelt, cornflakes, buckwheat... Whenever I step into this shop I feel that I'm "deep in the heart of Brixton".

This is an excellant shop, the jars are a very good idea and very cheap. The only problem with this shop is the staff and their attitude to the customers. They need to be a little more friendly, as they can be quite surly!

They have a range of foods hard to obtain elsewhere. In particular I must mention one large rack of shelves, crammed with a huge array of jars of an amazing range of herbs and spices (culinary and medicinal). You can help yourself to the quantities you want. They are a particularly excellent feature. They are good prices, too.

They provided a supply of used carrier bags for customers to re-use years before such eco concerns were popular. Good on them!
