Courlanders The Jewellers

I have used Courlanders several times and found the staff both knowledgeable and helpful. The use of separate seating give the opportunity to discuss needs with a member of staff without feeling of being overheard by other customers

Went to get a new battery for a Michel Herbellin watch and had used the service there before. A young lady changed the battery and it did not work. Took it back and she suggested there might be something wrong with it and suggested their service for £135. I took the watch elsewhere and they found that a part had fallen out ( when the young lady had changed the battery). Could not have been elsewhere as this was the only place where I had changed the battery.
Very disappointing!

Very elegant, traditional in style premises, good quality stock and excellent service at all times. All staff members are corteous, polite and willing to go out of their way to help. Chris, the manager, has a vast knowledge of everything to do with jewellery, old silever, watches and clocks. Shopping at Courlanders is the most pleasant experience.

I've bought a number of items over the years - always had helpful, personal service, and their products seem reasonably priced.

Beautiful shop, good service. We've used them a few times, from getting a watch strap replaced (reasonable price for what you get) to choosing a watch for my 30th birthday. We've always been treated with absolute respect, and we are certainly not the "rich old dowagers" mentioned by another poster.

I took my grandmother's engagement ring to be re-sized here and they did warn me that it might become oval as a result - the ring was being made 5 sizes smaller. Anyway when I got the ring back (earlier than promised) it was still round and had been given a very good polish as well. I have bought a few other cheap items from here in the past and have never been treated with anything less than extremely courteous service.
