I'm totally surprised at the total level of unprofessional sales people at this shop
Extremely rude.
I was quoted £50 for a watch battery.
When I asked why the price was so high I was told " take it or leave it it's up to you"
I got a battery for £9 from my local shop instead.
I will not return.

Over priced watch battery replacement service.
I was quoted £45 for a battery.
I took it to another jewellery shop and got the same battery for £15.
So shop around first.

I have to agree with other reviewers the staff are very unprofessional . This is a city shop not a back street market stall
I was treated very unprofessional and was uncomfortable with the way I was spoken to by the staff after I asked the price of a spring bar for my watch .
I will not return.

I wanted a battery for my omega watch so decided to try this shop I was totally amazed by the extremely poor service and over price estimate that I received from this establishment.
I dot mind spending money on my watch but to be quoted over £100 for a battery is in my opinion very expensive.
I took my business to another establishment and got a really good service and my battery for £25.00. In my opinion make sure you try other establishments around the city before you get trapped in a extremely expensive trap.

I went into this establishment looking for a Christmas gift for my wife I was amazed at the poor customer service given to me. Extremely poor service.
I went elsewhere in the area and bought a lovely watch. And received better service. I truly cannot understand why staff are not trained in customer service.

This jewellery shop was a wonderful shop, but for some reason it’s going down hill extremely fast. The staff can be very unprofessional at times. And in some cases rude.
I would really be careful when reading some of the reviews on this shop it looks like some of the shop staff have done reviews in a positive way.

My wife took my omega watch into this shop for a leather strap the strap was £60 but after a few days the strap was beginning to break. My wife returned the watch to the shop but was told it was not bought from them. A terrible service was given and she left. I’m not really worried about the cost but it was the terrible service she received. I would also like to mention I got a better strap also in the Liverpool Street area for half the price.

A very nice shop that is extremely easy for myself and my staff to have watch repairs and batteries fitted. That was until I was unprofessionally spoken to by one of its members of staff. We have been using this establishment for many years. But we will not be returning. I have written a letter of complaint to the owner.

Highly recommend this shop. We went during our lunch to get my watch battery and strap replaced. I was expecting to to leave my watch for a few days, but they fixed it whilst we waited. They had a vast selection of watch straps and were happy to spend their time assisting us. Price was reasonable too.

I went to this shop during my lunch hour to get a battery for my watch fitted. I found the shop to be extremely nice, but was shocked with the service I received, I found the staff to be on mobile phones and when I did eventually get the attention of the sales associate I was told the cost of my battery would be £35.00 I expected £10 to £15 but not £35, I exited the shop and got a battery fitting locally for £10.

Professional establishment and one happy customer today. Unique jewellers whom went above their needs to ensure my fathers timepiece was restored to its original condition and is now in perfect working order.
I must have visited a dozen other shops whom couldn't even repair and restore it or they wanted a small fortune to do so! However this jewellers quoted me a respectable price within a good timeframe.
Yes I would definitely recommend.

My brother was visiting from Spain and wanted a new battery and strap for his omega watch it was lunchtime and we went to this store and we could not believe the price that we was quoted for a battery, after looking at my brothers watch we was told the price for the battery was £65 and a leather strap would cost us £45
Total £110 , we said thank you and went to another store in the same area and got the battery for £15 and the strap for £15.00 . £30 in total. My brother pointed out to me that the strap was the same make strap the we was quoted £45 for. So in my experience shop around first before you get a battery or strap from this shop.

I was reccommended this jewellers from my colleague and was delighted he told me about it. I wanted a Rolex for my wife as a Valentine's gift and Jonathan Geeves sourced me the watch at a discounted price. It was cheaper than any of the other shops I had previously looked at and the knowledge and service from the staff was spot on. They took some links out of the bracelet for me (which I guessed) but it was still big so my wife poped it in a few days later and they altered it there and then for her. Great service, excellent price and will be back again.

Myself and my office staff would always recommend this lovely jewellery shop, we always had our sports trophy’s engraved at this shop. I say “had” because we have now stopped going to this shop. The owner needs to understand. How rude the staff are at this shop including the owner himself. After having our trophy’s engraved for many many years from different shops
I was completely taken back by the owners rude remarks that the price to engrave our trophy’s would now be £100 per trophy. ( I say rude because this gentleman talks down to you like you are a silly person) ( we have 6 trophy’s) the price last year was £25. Each ( we decided to take the work to another shop in the city and was charged £20 per trophy.and in my opinion the work and service was a lot better. I do understand prices increase but £100 for engraving when it can be done better for £20. Is in my opinion extortionate.
We employ over three hundred people at our office building and no one will

I wanted a new battery for my Gucci watch so I went into this lovely small shop in Liverpool st, it’s so nice to find a independent shop with all the larger shops now taking over, the shop is a little gem, but I have to say I was totally amazed at the price I was quoted for a battery . £60 for a battery sounds a lot for a battery, so I went to one of the larger shops and got a battery for £12 a £48 difference. Now I understand why the larger shops are talking over. It’s a pity because this small shop looks very nice but it made me remember if it looks too good it probably is ! So shop around first .

This Is in my humble opinion a fantastic little shop in the city of London
That’s what I always believed, but I returned to this shop just before Christmas and was astonished to find how rude and unprofessional the staff had become, the shop itself is a fantastic little shop but the owner needs to get a balanced approach to staff training. And in my opinion the owner also needs to go on some form of retail training, the shop would get back the customers that it once had if the staff were professional and polite to its customers. All in all it really is a remarkable little shop but it’s truly let down by the terrible staff .

Totally agree with other reviews it's a good looking shop but it's very over priced
Make you you get a quote on your repairs my watch came back after having a battery fitted with a bill for £110. I was told the seal needed replacing. I did not ask for that but the shop did it . After a week steam was inside the watch. I took it back and was told I had been in water with it.
Yes I said I had its a professional divers watch.
The sales assistant said it needed a service and would cost £245. I made a quick exit from the shop and took my watch to another shop.
The shop serviced my watch and sealed it again for £75.00 the gentleman told me the wrong seal had been fitted to my watch by the last jewellery shop. With this experience and the over priced battery I will not recommend or return to j. Geeves ,

I would recommend this shop for the jewellery
But would never recommend it for engraving.
It's way too expensive for engraving 6 letters on a lighter I was quoted £80.00 that's just way too much other local shops do it for £5 a letter . It's a ok shop but get a quote first I probably will not shop again at this jewellery shop .

A nice jewellery shop in the very heart of the city of London, and only a few streets from my office so I took my watch in for a battery ( a seiko) I was so shocked after being told the battery for my watch was £45.00. I took my watch to another location in the city and got it for £15.00 and the other shop gave my a £5 discount card for another battery .

I was charged £45 for 1x earring back 9k gold I needed it to go out that night but the next day my local jewellery shop sold me a earring back for £12 also 9k gold and the same size and same weight. I understand it's the city but £45 is way to much. Shop around first .

It can be very expensive for a watch battery and the staff can have a bad attitude the last few reviews have said the owner can be extremely rude, and I agree 100% with that.
Also one person said the cost of a battery.
I took my Gucci watch in and was quoted £65 for a battery. I took it into Liverpool st station and got a better service for £15

The jewellery shop is great I buy all my jewellery from this delightful shop it's got great prices and a wonderful range of jewellery. I often take a look in the fantastic windows and spot A great deal.
Thank you all at this shop for the great service.
Just one thing I would like to add to my review is. The bad smell sometimes in the arcade next to you maybe from the food shops ?
I will return. ( I have only ever found the staff to be happy and excited in serving you . Yes sometimes the staff can be a little hard and offensive but that's just having a bad day is it not.
That should not stop you using the shop .

This shop was always my first stop to get my watch repairs done, it was always a great shop with fantastic staff, that is up until recently.
I will not be going back to this shop after the way I was spoken to by the owner of this establishment. The most rudest gentleman I have ever come into contact with. After having my last watch service my watch stopped after only a few days. So I took it back to the shop. The gentleman ( not so much a gentleman) told me it was indeed in need of a service after opening the back . I explained that he had only serviced it 2 weeks a go , his answer to this was and I quote " it's not a great watch why don't you bin it and buy a new one " ( yes bin it ) I left the shop and will never return. Utterly rude , totally made me look stupid in front of the staff in the shop, who I have to say started to laugh.
Update : I took my watch to another jewellery store and have been informed that my watch has never been serviced in the last 2 years

I bought a watch from this shop in march
I nice service from the staff was given and I was delighted with my watch . After a few weeks the watch stoped so I took it back, the lady that sold me the watch remembered me, I told her the watch had stoped, I could not believe the rude attitude that I received from the sales lady, you must have dropped it or gone in water she said,
No I explained I had only had it out of the box a few times, that's what everyone says she said,
Your warranty for that watch will not cover water damage she told me. So buy a new one and look after it, I left the shop and sent the watch back to the maker a new watch was sent back to me within a week, I will not return to j . Geeves
Beware of the staff .

Top marks for a fantastic range of jewellery .
Top marks for a lovely window design .
Top marks for a very clean shop .
Zero marks for staff training .
Top marks for staff rudeness .
All in all a nice shop but the staff need a really good training session, and the owner needs to understand that customers make a shop if you have no customers you have no business.

jG jewellery shop in Liverpool st is a lovely shop with fantastic jewellery in the windows but and this is a very very large but , I am extremely disappointed with the owner of the shop. I took my diamond ring into this shop th sell . I had already been quoted £2500 by six shops in the city and west end of London the highest being £2500 the lowest being £2250. That was until I went to jG. Wow was I in for a shocking experience given to me by the sales person who said was the owner. The price a was quoted by him was £250 yes £250 i asked why that was and he replied and I quote " the ring is terrible madam it's only scrap" I laughed at him and left
I continued to show my diamond ring around to other shops that day in the city and got £2575 cash . I thought I would write this review to help people understand that it's not a great shop after all beware.
