Chard

Chard is the worst agency you could end up with. It's been two months and they haven't fixed what they not only promised but was stated on the contract. Run away from them. They are useless...

We use Chard rent out our flat in Campden Hill Gardens and in four years we've generally had really good service. We're on our third tenant found through them. They manage the property and send us the money each month. We've met two of our previous tenants, both of whom were working for banks, on infrequent trips back to the UK and their feedback was pretty positive too. We haven't seen hidden charges, although we do have to pay for a gas safety check, an inventory report and Energy Certification, but that's standard I'd imagine. All in all a good service.

Honestly this was the worst experience I have ever had of 'customer service'. I was a first time letter, moving abroad and decided to go for a big name in order to be more secure and have 'peace of mind' whilst I was away. Unfortunately after a great sales pitcth from the office manager, I became subjected to a string of one off payments for services I had not asked for, unflexible and incompetent sales staff, and when the tennants decided to leave early, absolutely no solution as to how to find another tennant, and after being told it was back on their website and finding it wasn't - I recieved the 'admin error' excuse. I think that if you are a big worth customer, and have a portfolio of property that they are letting for you, then perhaps you would be looked after better, however the service to smaller worth customers was horific and did not leave me with any kind of peace of mind.
