Hollywood Star Nails

Have used this service for years. But today their female nail techician (I won't mention names) was so rude. I asked for box cut nail but changed my mind and asked for a round nail. I was mindful that she is pregnant and understandably tired which she said as she was being rude to me about changing my mind, "you changed your mind, I'm tired!). I thought we had customer choice which is what i said to her. She was very rude to me like I am wasting her time and then proceeded to complain to her staff openly about me in front of me! And she made me bleed when doing my full set, which were all different shapes on each nail. Also when she kept telling me to relax my fingers I whispered explaining that I had a stroke and my muscles are not in my control. There was little or no understanding, just a behaviour that was making it inconvenient for her. I felt discriminated and let down. I Came here to support their business. I won't in future. ..... now I am sitting here and she is complaining to other clients about me. If you have a disability do not come here!

Very poor customer service and very poor quality of service. Lots of injury cause by them to my fingers.

Went in and got charged £40 for normal nails. Actual rip off. Nails got rushed and they didn’t even cut my cuticles or clean my nails first. Rough with the hands and really fast with their work. Nails are messy and acrylics are not straight or strong enough. Would not recommend going here as i am left upset over my nails. Overpriced and rushed.

I have never been left so disappointed with my service. I asked for a manicure and pedicure with shellac, the environment and service was far from relaxed and the entire service gave me anxiety!
Firstly, I knew something was off when the man didn’t seem to know what he was doing, after questioning this. The main technician admitted whilst laughing that she had forced her un- qualified ‘husband’ to do it because she was ‘too busy’
I was far from impressed.
I was charged for a pedicure although I did not receive one. The water was also cold, I had to ask for it to be heated up. My entire treatment was rushed, didn't clean underneath my nails and also did not cut them down, only filed after asking over 3 times. The only thing I liked was the colour and as I had plans later I had to follow through with having my hands done to match it. I’ve never been left so upset, my feet was left feeling dirty and rough didn’t even bother using any cream.
I also paid for a manicure. Again this is not what I was given, my nails on both hands didn’t match in shape or length, the edges was left feeling uneven and sharp. No manicure was given, although I was charged the full price for a manicure pedicure and shellac.
The entire treatment was absolutely shocking. I have never in my life taken the time out of my day to leave a review so I hope this will help many others to AVOID THIS NAIL SHOP at all costs!!!!

Very disappointed with recent service. Was a loyal customer with loyalty card.
Did shellac polish for two that peeled after 24hours. Went back confident I will get an apology and redo it. Well lady first accused us of biting the nail🙄, when I asked how one can bite ten fingers she became aggressive, started shouting how I asked that nail should not be filed too much..She didn’t do the polish, I remember her directing the men that did it.
After embarrassing us and walking away,I tried again to show another worker in the salon.It took her speaking to her and us standing there for 5mins before she came back and inspected the nails.She touched the paint, they all came off whole. Without apology she reluctantly agreed to redo them.
I am not against people learning a skill, I am however disappointed that I spent £60 for someone to practice .
Will definitely not be going back and will advice all my friends to avoid.

I have recently moved to the area and thought I would try this local nail bar for a manicure and pedicure to treat myself after a stressful week as an NHS Keyworker. The gentleman doing my nails cut the toenail on my little toe too short and did not cut the cuticles. He left my little toe nails unpainted. When I asked him why he had not painted them he said that they were too short. When I respectfully challenged him he reluctantly got one of the woman to take over. She then proceeded to cut the cuticles around my little toe and painted the nail. I noticed that the lady next to me was having the skin removed with a razor from the bottom of her feet which he had not done for me. I informed her of this and she began putting oil on my feet and removing the skin. She was hostile and seemed very angry then ripped the toe separater from my toe causing the paint to smudge and rather than taking the polish off of the nail and starting again she began painting directly over it which left a visible smudge. I asked if she would remove the paint from that one nail and repaint it and she proceeded to remove all of the polish off of my toes in an agitated and aggressive manner. I have never written a review of complaint, however, I felt compelled to write one as I could not believe how poor the service and the complete lack of acknowledgement of the terrible job that had been done. This was far from the relaxing experience I had hoped for and an experience I wouldn’t want others to have to go through.
