We Remain Open Throughout Lockdown – Updated 5th January 2021
The Government has announced new national restrictions to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are pleased to advise that our governing bodies have recommended that opticians remain open during this period.
We will be prioritising urgent and essential eye care but can continue to offer routine appointments as long as we have capacity to do so. We operate under the stringent cleaning protocols set out by our governing body, the General Optical Council. We have introduced a range of measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff alike. These include operating a closed-door policy thereby limiting the number of customers in the store at any one time. We have a state-of-the-art temperature scanner and hand sanitising station at the entrance to the store. We offer masks for patients if they do not have their own with them. We sanitise frames and offer our patients latex gloves for use when trying on them on.
