Brownings Garage

I brought in my Golf R32 a few weeks ago for a service and MOT having close by. My experience:

I emailed to enquire about a service and MOT and received an articulate and polite email with details on several slots that were available in the proceeding few days.

As soon as I arrived I was met with a warm welcome from Matt, the garage manager. He was clear in communicating how long the service would take and reassured me that any additional work would be confirmed upfront. I was also asked how I found out about the garage, a good sign that the business is focused on long-term sustainability.

When I dropped off the car I was contacted the following day and informed about additional work required. Matt was clear and not pushy. I decided to proceed with the work and the car was ready the following day.

Upon pick up, I was taken through the work and things I should keep on top of.

Terrible Customer service !! And very expencive, I wouldn't mind to pay that much if at least the people there will treat me with more respect. I was given back my car twice and it kept on having problems, at the end they told me they could not do anything else and also told me they won't take the car back anymore. Never coming back and wouldn't recommend it.

Expensive and they over book themselves. They don't do their own body work and misjudged how long it would take to get my car fixed huge inconvenience!!!

Expensive garage, wouldn't go there unless you have to. Polite mechanics but will make you pay for it.

Had an issue with the car battery. They came, collected and charged up the car. Efficient and decent price. Although opening on weekends would be better.

I have been using Brownings for a number of years and they are both very reliable and friendly. Their work is professional and completed efficiently. They will go out of their way for customers and have opened after hours to accommodate me. Would highly recommend!

A thorough review of their prices and standard of service is seriously overdue. Furthermore, their approach to customers is not likely to engender repeat business.

this small family run and owned garage has provided unfailingly excellent service to me and my seat leon for the past 12 years. Polite, efficient, friendly and always willing to unpatronisingly explain what goes on under the bonnet, I think we are really luck to have such a business in the area.

I recently took my car here for a service and MOT, thinking that a service would be done on my car BEFORE doing an MOT. What Brownings Garage did was run an MOT, which obviously failed, charged me for a service and then did the MOT again. Ridiculous rip-off

I have used Brownings for 17 years. Every aspect of their service is excellent - without fault. While what you get here is too good to be the cheapest around, nevertheless it represents very good value for money.
