Kelpis Shoes

Kelpis was recommended to me as being a first class cobbler and this has been my experience. I don't think they're cheap, but they are excellent value. For example I've had shoes re-heeled for less, but the heels don't last as long as they do when I've had a re-heel job done by Kelpis. In January 2011 I bought two pairs of boots in the sales which were half a size too small; the leather was soft and I knew they'd stretch out with use, but in the meantime I managed to break a zip on both pairs. Kelpis repaired the zips and stetched the boots for me. I've just had my boots resoled and they came back looking and feeling fantastic. If I have an expensive pair of boots or shoes which are "keepers" I would definitely take them to Kelpis.

Kelpis: They made 2 pairs of great boots for me while I was at University and have faithfully resoled them for 10 years now. They have a great range of large size shoes (most shops don't bother) at a very fair price. Great workmanship and friendly service - when I lived in LA, I came back to them whenever I could. The two workers are, I think, the owners and I suggest the first reviewer gets off their high horse and supports what is a very good, established, local business. Ignoring my review, I don't think any company offering sub-par services would not survive very long in Fulham. Kelpis are the best!

I have lived in Chelsea, Fulham and now Chiswick and happened to visit 'Kelpis' shoe repair shop as very near to where a friend lives. I went in with a straight forward job to fix a broken zip on a pair of rather expensive boots.
The employee working there ( I would hope he wasn't the owner) was not only unable to be civil in his refusal of such a job, making out it was beneath him ?! but he was incapable of any eye contact,( always a bad sign). I found him most unpleasant, I will never return there and certainly pass on my experience to all I know nearby.

I have known this business for at least 24 years. There is nothing they can’t do and always with a smile. I used them regularly when I lived in Fulham , but know I am back in the States and I still bring things across the Atlantic for them to repair because they do very good work and they are reliable and friendly.
