Asked for a made to measure dress showing a picture of what I wanted. Measurements were taken to make the dress. They took full payment which they said was due to it being made to measure. I was asked about the length of sleeves, how fitted/loose I wanted it, how long I wanted it however when it arrived it was far too loose and long. Sleeves were too long and baggy. I also requested silver embroidery and he said it would be stones and no net inside the gown. Whilst the embroidery did contain stones it also had pearls which I did not request and a net. Whilst I can live with the embroidery, I had to spend time taking the net off. The lining is not the same colour as the netting covering it. They also initially said all the dress was made to the measurements given, but when challenged then agreed to arrange alteration over the phone. When we arrive it was a different man at the front and he said the dress was not sold by his shop. We double checked the invoice and it had been. We went back and he said it was because he hadn’t seen it before and wasn’t the one who took the order. After a lot of back and forth they agreed to the alterations for the fitting but refused to pay to alter the length and said the sleeves would not look good if length altered. Save yourselves the bother and stress, they just con you.
