Disgusting customer service. I had bought a saree from this shop and the shopkeeper told me that they have their own tailor who can stitch my saree blouse. I trusted the shopkeeper and gave my blouse to them to be stitched. When I went to collect the saree blouse I tried it on and the blouse was poorly stitched. The blouse did not fit me due to being poorly made. When I informed the shopkeeper and the shop assistant, they had the audacity to say the blouse did not fit because I had put on weight in a week, which cannot be true due to the blouse not fitting in the chest area only. The tailor did not put all the hooks in properly at the front of the blouse and had stitched it in a way that made me look very flat and tight chested on the front without leaving any excess material to fix the error. The tailor had also used a different colour material on the front, which made it look obvious and horrible that the front of blouse couldn’t close properly. It is very clear that the tailor messed up the saree blouse, but the shopkeeper and assistant refused to admit this. They kept fat shaming me and saying it’s because of the design I chose, even though my blouse looked nothing like the image I sent them. For over two hours the shopkeeper and her sister (shop assistant) kept trying to blame me for the blouse not being stitched properly, even though I trusted them to get it done and have never met their tailor. Whenever other customers came, they kept stopping to assist them and wasted my time for over two hours instead of focusing to resolve the issue. After two and half hours the shopkeeper finally admitted that the tailor ruined my blouse and still not apologise for their mistake. Only after two and a half hours of me explaining that the blouse was not done properly, which was very obvious when I tried it on, did they decide to contact the tailor. The shopkeeper told me that the tailor told them that the saree blouse cannot be fixed and that there is nothing they can do. They wasted so much of my time and my money. Everyone makes mistakes, as we’re human, but the mistakes should be owned. From looking at my personal experience Ashana is a business that does not care about their customers and will do anything to make their business look good to the extent of fat shaming and blaming the customer in order to deny their tailor’s mistake. They never apologised for their mistake, as it was them who chose to work with that tailor and it is their responsibility to ensure that the customer gets what they paid for. They did not take responsibility or try to rectify their mistake. The shopkeeper told me to adjust this time, but the saree blouse cannot be worn, as it is stitched in a way that the blouse cannot be closed properly and have my chest exposed. I will not be visiting this shop again, as the customer service is appalling and unacceptable.
