If you can do something to look after yourself, go to see Ron. He is an optimist and he knows about all sorts of hair. I have hada lifetime of people telling me what's wrong and difficult about my barnet, but Ron always says he knows what we can do. And, no painful hairdrying or rubbish suggestions for expensive crap. And, even bad moods tolerated.

I have been having my hair cut by Ron for many years and will continue doing so. He always gives you the prefect cut and usually knows what kind of cut you want more than you know yourself.

He knows how to treat afro caribbean hair with quite natural products and gives good advise.

Highly recommended this hairdressers a very friendly place to visit.

The Business Hair Studio is a gem for the Black Woman who cares about her hair! Ron gave me the best cut I've ever had (exactly what I wanted and more) as well as a valuable consultation. Ron listened to me and what I wanted (he won't want to look at pictures, he wants to hear YOU describe what you want and what you hope to achieve) and transformed my shapeless and brittle hair into beautiful, bouncy and silky hair in little time.
Finally found a good haidresser who can get the best out of my thick hair at affordable price. I'm so happy with my experience and cannot recommend Ron enough.

I moved to Dalston a few months ago and just chanced upon Ron's salon when I was looking for a cut. Boy what a find! Ron is an excellent hairdresser. My hair is thick and curly, it has challenged many a hairdresser but Ron knew exactly how to cut it and to make it look great. Not only that but he gave me some great advice for a dry scalp, an all natural cure. Ron is a gentleman, a pleasure to chat to and takes a real interest in his clientele. He never tries to sell you hair products like so many out there, that would be totally against his ethos. Honest service from a talented man.

What can I say. Firstly, the shop front is lovely, so different from the picture on the website. Ron can fix all types of hair and make you look lovely, not only that he holds great conversation and welcomes all to the shop nicely. He also knows his stuff about hair and provides good advice for you to maintain the upkeep. Reasonably priced too.

You'll probably find me review of The Business on multiple pages, but that's how excited I am about Ron and I truly think he is the best hairdresser. I'll do a short version here :)

I live in Holland but I travel especially to Londen for Ron. Never have I walked out of a hairdresser truly happy about the result. Besides this he can tell you everything about your hair: the way you take out a hair tie to why you have a dry scalp and ways to solve it. I have curly hair and I really didn't know how to take care of it and he helped me so much.

Just amazing. Hair cuts like no other. So nice to have a hairdresser that understands your hair and doesn't tell you off for how bad a condition your hair is in. Won't be going anywhere else from now on!

This was a great hair-cutting experience from Ron! I loathe having my hair cut, as it's part english, part african, part italian, so it tricky to say the least. Although the atmosphere will not disappoint any hipster looking for something with 'character' - the real class is Ron himself, who apart from being a Gent, really knows his stuff after decades in The Business; A title well earned for sure!
(I happen to live nearby, but it's right next to a load of bus stops and of course two stations, so ideal for anyone not wanting to be rained on afterwards).

I have been going to The Business Hair Studio since 2005. I am a black person but my hair type is not. For many many years I went to various different hairdressers and barbers to try and get that 'just stepped out of a salon look' I am so glad my mum suggested I go to Business Hair Studio. There is a neutral feeling when you walk into the salon. It doesn't feel 'cliquey' in anyway, (if you know what i mean) You will be greeted by Ron, and you'll see Claudette at the back somewhere. Your never sat in the salon for hours on end. Its a real mixed bag of people,of different colours, genders and hair types. I love how Ron works with me,to achieve fresh and funky looks, I always feel satified. I have recommened the Salon to many people over the years and i know at least 3 of them still attend regularly. If you want cheap and cheerful this isnt the place, Ron might be cheerful, but he definetly doesn't do cheap.

After being strongly recommended by a friend that Ron was the only man who could rescue my over processed broken locks, I travelled to dalston junction to see what all the fuss was about. After meeting Ron and my first haircut, I have never looked back. After many years of searching for a hairdresser who is as passionate as they are talented and actually listeners to what you want, the two hour drive across London is more than worth it. Thank you Ron-don't ever leave me!
