Silhouettes

I went to Silhouettes with my friend for her first fitting. The shop was chaotic, it was small and cramped and we were shown through to a back room where there was little space to move about once the dress was on.
The level of service we received was appalling. We were not offered chairs and were just told to hunt through racks of dresses to find what she liked. Despite having an appointment we were not offered any advice or suggestions and the assistant only paid attention for about 2 minutes at a time. I was left to help my friend in and out of dresses whilst the assistant ran back and forth answering the phone, chatting to friends etc.
What made it worse was the 2 wedding dresses hanging in the back room with us, in front of all of the bridesmaids dresses, which we were told to stay away from as they were waiting for collection - they were not in protective bags, were dragging on the floor and being knocked about as the assistants ran back and forth to a kitchen and the back door.
What we expected to be a nice day turned into a very stressful and unpleasant experience and sadly I would not recommend Silhouettes anyone.
