I agree, I always say thank you and seem to get a smile back or something from them. They actually appreciate manners, I guess cause there's so many rude people that turn up to these things.

I was in a small group of people for the Twilight premiere near the icecream shop in Leicester Square and I was the only person to get my book signed by Kristen Stewart because I called out to her, smiled and waved at her, showing her my book and then after she signed my book I said thankyou and she seemed shocked but smiled and said no problem. Everyone else was screaming and shoving things in her face so it was well worth waiting since 1pm that day and I also got rpattz and Catherine Hardwicke's just before they went into the theatre.

Exactly, you just have to think of it from their point of view. They're in a very strange situation with people getting very aggressive infront of them and so you'd guess that they'll be drawn to the calm looking and polite sounding people. :)
