Premiere Advice

Hi. I won a pair of tickets to the Avatar premiere tomorrow at Leicester Square. This is the first premiere ever that I'll be attending. I was hoping if people who have been to premieres before could give some tips. Would I also be walking on the carpet like the film stars?
Btw the dress code is smart. Do you reckon I should still turn up in a suit?

Suit or smart shirt etc. Yes you'll be walking the carpet but don't get your expectations up to meet anyone. Though you may very well spot a few celebs

It's not likely. Chances are you'll get hurried straight in by security.

Is cool, have a good time anyway. They'll go on the stage to present the film so you'll get a god view of everyone then. You might be able to record that bit (I did at Tropic Thunder).

What time do you recommend getting to the Avatar prem for a good spot? is it going to be a busy one?

Christmas carol one didn't really get busy untill 4pm ish for people not in the garden

Is a tough call. Might be similar to Christmas carol then given it's also a biggie but also is winter. Though personally I'd get there far before 4 myself.

I'll be getting there around 10am-ish. I'm going with my buddy and we are big James Cameron fans. Also do you know what the signing situation is with Sigourney Weaver and James Cameron? are they good signers or not? i wouldn't mind trying to get Sam Worthington to sign my Terminator Salavtion DVD or i might buy an Avatar book beforehand and try and get as many sigs as poss on it. Hopefully my trusty standing spot won't let me down on this one, it hasn't failed me yet lol...........

I doubt you'll be hurried along by security. It depends how manic it is. I have been to two premieres where I walked along the carpet, and at neither one of them was I hurried along. I have seen people walk up to celebs and ask them for a photo or autograph when they are on the carpet, so there's no harm in trying. You may then get asked to move on though.
