Those who havent gone 'Ava-nutty', are likely very relieved to have
IRON MAN 2 around. While most have seen 'Robert Downey Jnr's first incarnation, ( small bias ), I've come to this film franchise - sweetly FRESH. :tongue2:
There is nothing quite like opening an action/comic/adventure movie with the brooding anguish of ' Mickey Rourke ', when he's on form and while the baddies are key elements to progressing the story & dialogue - here it is physical pressense that shines like the glint from IRON MANs armour.:wizard:
Bonus marks go to the editors for including language interpretation in COLOUR! But loose -1, for not keeping it going.
So lets encapsulate the movie, . . Those who wish to sleep or neck during this film should be given kit to make them appear like a Grand National horse, :rolling:as it's a pure ( cheerleading ) Energy SPIKE.
Now , whats on offer for the ladies? Admitedly the notion of actors in sculpted suits, harks back to 'Creature from the black Lagoon', here though we get plenty of character driven drama flowing between our peacock leading man and the lean company executive/girlfriend played by 'Gwyneth Paltrow' - here the script writers clearly had been recently watching their DVD's of 'Moonlighting' :applause:, hopefully toward a dramatic story-arc into '
IM3'. Again there are some integral underused support from 'Don Cheadle " Samuel L Jackson' all here tightly edited for excellence.
The pheonix bonus :depp: goes to the casting / stunt merger of 'Jeff Imada' with stunning 'Scarlett Johansson', in a scene mix n match that could just "curl up your toes, and grip the seat - handsfree" with its intensity. Climatically you feel simultaneously 'ambushed for time' & 'hyper-struting, cool' like we just experienced a 'Keano-MATRIX 3-download',
I challenge fans of ' Big Wednesday / Point Break ' to dislike IRON MAN 2. :wizard: I'm giving this one a jetting 6 cheers.
