Meh, I don't mind waiting in the cold and wet. I know how these things are and I'm prepared for how mad this premiere will get. The atmosphere will make up for the weather and for the first time ever at standing at the barriers I'm gonna be with a friend. So that will make things better. And personally, I don't think any of the cast are divas!

Anyone think it'll be worth getting there at about 6 am? I'm so tempted to go but its quite a long journey for me.

I think 6am will be ok. As you know it's hard to callw ith these bigger ones, but 6am is def a front row kind of time.

Thanks KF. Yeah, they're so unpredictable. I've never been to a HP prem before, but apparently they are quite different to others in terms of organisation. Looking at the Leicester Sq. webcams now the barriers are already up...!

Hey Hermisg. Apparently if you get there before 9/10am you will get into the square. Everyone queus up and then when the gates are open, it's a fight to the front to get a spot. So I've heard... But if you don't get in the square, there is also (apparently) a bit round the side where you can stand and watch the stars arrive.

Thanks for that Nads! I'm sure fans who weren't able to attend appreciated that.

Well, I went, and after 13 hours of standing, I had a successful time.

We arrived at Leicester Square at 6.50am. There was already a line all the way around the gardens of people in tents and sleeping bags. And leading from that, a queue of about 60-80 people. We joined the end of the queue round the side of the Empire Cinema, next to the Casino. We gradually started to move forward and around the garden at about... 8.40am. We were about 15/20 people from the gates of the garden when we were told that no more people were getting in. So we were then ushered to the side and outside Empire cinema. That after 3 hours of waiting behind temporary barriers we were moved to the front of the actual barriers right infront of the Empire cinema. We were very fortunate to have been given a stamp (only stamped people get to the front) and to have been sheltered by the Empire roof! The trio arrived at 5.15 ish and signed/got photographed/talked to press etc in the gardens for about an hour or so. Then we heard others had started to arrive (but we couldn't see any of this). Meanwhile we had members of the public (competition winners etc) walk down our carpet and go into the Empire. The first 'celebs' to come down our carpet were the X Factor contestants and Tom & Harry from McFly. Didn't get any autographs from them, tried to hollar Matt over to get a photo with him, but he seemed to ignore us. Even if he did keep walking in and out of the cinema... :s I shouted to Wagner "Tell Louis to call you Vagner!!" I don't think he understood...
Julie Walters was the first of the cast to walk down. I got her sig. Then Matthew Lewis (Neville) - got his. Then the trio - got all of theres! They didn't have time to chat, but at least they signed for pretty much everyone on the front row - apart from my friend bless her. She didn't get Dan's. A few others walked passed, including Jason Isaccs and Mark Willams ? - Arthur Weasley, but didn't stop.
All in all, good night. Would have seen a lot more if we were in the gardens, but having said that, because we weren't near the front of the queue, we wouldn't have been at the front anyway. So fortunate really that we didn't get in there, but still got at the front and were sheltered!

So glad you got their autographs Aly! but sorry that your friend didn't get Dan's :( i was keeping my fingers crossed for you that you'd get to the front :). I looked on the webcam and there was a massive crowd of people infront of the barriers, definately the biggest premiere i've seen! looked amazing! :wizard:

Sounds like a good time. It seems to be down to the right place at the right time with premieres! Am surprised Jason Isaacs didn't sign though, he was lovely when I met him. And as Fast Show fan I'd have loved Mark Williams's autograph
