Got a story to tell? Want to see it on the big screen?
Picturehouse Cinemas and the European Commission
Representation in the UK launch nationwide photography competition YOUR STORY.

www.picturehouses.co.uk/yourstory

Every picture tells a story, but can you tell a tale in 10?

Tell us YOUR STORY in 10 photos, and you could see it presented on the big screen in Picturehouse cinemas nationwide, plus win a Kodak Zi8 pocket HD video camera!

Whether you’re 5 or 85, simply tell us YOUR STORY in 10 photos. We’re looking for diverse stories from across the UK, be they about a dream, such as flying on a magic carpet; an important community issue, such as the environment, immigration, or the economy; or a day in your life in school, work or retirement.

YOUR STORY is open to all, but in particular we will target film lovers, filmmakers, colleges and schools, environmental and social charities, community groups, European cultural centres, art galleries and University of the Third Age, inviting entries from a broad cross-section of society.

"The beauty of 'Your Story' is that it is open to the old, the young and everyone in between. Children know no boundaries in their ability to bring imagination into our lives while the perspective of an older person's wisdom is priceless. We look forward to seeing the world from their viewfinders in this truly inspirational project."
Jonathan Scheele, European Commission Representation in the UK, Head of Representation

“With the support of the European Commission in London I’ve just completed a wonderful tour of my film THE FIRST MOVIE, meeting audiences at Picturehouse Cinemas nationwide. I’m delighted that my film inspired the YOUR STORY competition, and as a member of the judging panel am looking forward to seeing the diversity of stories from across the UK.”
Mark Cousins, Director of THE FIRST MOVIE
