You know what i'm gonna say..... Competitions :laugh:
Seriously though, when there was the friday four there were people popping in, asking for help, saying they'd finished really quickly, people replying trying to give hints etc.
I used to love the friday four & coming on here & posting replies.
Its such a shame that you don't do it anymore.
I don't think you'd even need to give out really big prizes or anything.
Fridays just aren't the same without the friday four..... does QMB even still work there?
Or what about a current topic every day or so.... so people can give their opinions on whats going on right now.
For example you guys could start a tread titled - Do you think con-dems are doing a good job so far?
Or If you held the purse strings where would you save money?
Or What do you think about the royal wedding.... will you be watching or avoiding it?
Or something more light hearted like - Whats your favourite takeaway/chocolate/cake/book/snog,marry,avoid.
Off to run & hide cos my ideas are pants :laugh: :biggrin:

I know the Friday 4 is missed, especially by a group of fans who were in it from the beginning. QMB does still work here, he's not doing so much of the fun stuff these days though :(
We'd love to bring the Friday 4 back and probably will at some point this year so keep checking back :)
I like your ideas for the daily topic, we tried something like that a while ago but the forum/site wasn't as busy so it may be worth another shot.
As for the admin role we're currently thinking about potentially creating a paid (freelance based) role to moderate the forum and try to make it more appealing. We'll let you all know more about this when we formalise it but it will be offered to the regulars who've been here for years before we advertise anything.

I definitely think the competitions help. The one you did before where you had to post a certain amount of times and be entered was a good way of getting people using the forums. Has to be moderated for spammers though. But that, I think, was in the right direction.

:o Oh my word! I was so going to mention something to you about work. More erring on the film side of things and being a reporter at premiere's or something, but this'll still do!!

Although threads on certain topics that are affecting us today, ie politics, are a good way of getting people talking, I don't think it will draw people in. I think there needs to be something more entertainment based, something maybe the younger generation can get involved with. I think that's who we'd perhaps need to target for new members. Topics on say, technology, the media, entertainment etc.

Ok so I haven't been on here in a while which sucks but things have been a bit hectic. Thought I would give you all a quick update and see how you are getting on. Well since I last came on here I have moved to Luxembourg. I am living in a little village called Larochette which is nice. I have a job out here and it is really testing my abilities to speak French hehe :D It was all a bit chaotic though as I only found out I was coming out here with a days notice so I had to pack super fast!
After this i am handing my notice in mid may and it is straight to america to do camp and then 6 weeks of travelling on my own after :O I return the day before I am due to start Uni hehe maybe I will start an ail blog of my camp so I can keep in touch with you guys :D
Ahh btw has anybody seen the new pirates featurette?? I am rather excited for the film... Any news on a London premier or even a paris one?? I know the California one has been confirmed and Keef will be in attendance:D
Anyway listen to me rambling on.....

Also AIL..... what about an iPhone/android app or a mobile site.... It would be so much easier for me and I guess other mobile Internet users :)
