because what can you say?!

I think you've summed it up there, I doubt there's a person who has watched the news coverage of this who really knew what to say or even think about it.

Why does it always have to turn into an arguement? I'm merely pointing out that it does seem sometimes that people are more focused and interested in the death of a celebrity who we think we know, rather than a mass of people who were innocently killed. And I am not merely brushing off Amy's death. A death is a death. And I am still just as shocked by Amy's death as I am by those in Oslo. Actually, tell a lie, I am more shocked by those in Oslo. But I am still saddened by Amy's death. It is difficult to know what to say and in many cases you can never find the words. It would have been nice to have mentioned both tragedy's though.

I'm not starting a thread myself on Oslo because a, I thought there may have already been one, b, I don't come on here so often anymore and c, I wanted to wait and see what might come first!

I guess that the reason no thread was started on the killings in Norway was because nobody really knew what to say or how to approach such a topic. At the risk of sounding callous the Amy Winehouse death is an easier subject to post about. Starting a discussion about Norway would be difficult to say the least.

The thread that has been started is a nice way to pay respects though and I appreciate that that was done.

i was shocked by her death although you knew that it was going to happen someday.its really sad she had an extraordinary voice a unique tallent and songs that will stay classic and she threw that all away becouse of the drugs and alcohol. Why cant the stars enjoy for once their successful career and go and do things that will ruin their lives??
but she was a big talent and her death a big loss to the music industry
here is a video of her last performance in beligrade when she booed becouse she couldnt sing right and she kept forgetin the lyrics .a reason why she cancelled her rest of the european tour.well at least these people got to see her live on stage for one last time :(

I didn't turn it into an argument. This is a forum, it's for discussion. We can't all agree all the time. Looks like Gavalar got my point

Also, bear in mind we don't yet know Winehouse's cause of death yet. It's just speculation right now.
