A future free from austerity, growing inequality, unemployment, tax injustice and a political elite who ignores its citizens

That's the issue isn't it. They have this as their aim, but there's nothing controversial in there - you're not going to find many people arguing that they want lots of austerity, more unemployment, lots of high taxes on the poor etc.. But the question is how do we achieve a fairer system? Please can you (the protesters) put together concrete and workable suggestions on what to do for the better rather than just "I don't think austerity measures are fair and I'm going to sit in front of St Paul's until you reverse them"

Sooz, the quote that you cite amounts to a mission statement and as such would not be expected to contain much detail of the individual goals of the group or the means and methods to be deployed.

The mission statement of All In London is 'To build the most comprehensive guide to London online' - a most excellent adventure - and a laudable aim!

I think the point being made is that without a specific set of aims to be met as a result of protesting what's the point of it in the first place?

The Occupy London website now seems to be focused on recruiting help to setup a welfare centre within the camp to help alcoholics and people with mental health problems. It's an admirable aim but I can't help thinking that a mix of phycologists both professional and amateur and well-meaning people might not be able to provide the help these people need. Where exactly is this all going?

I don't think we'll agree on the mechanics of this but I think we all agree that change is needed to make things fairer across society, you can't argue with that. If this protest goes any way to that aim then great, I just can't see how any real change will come as a result of it.

Anyway, the original point was more about the eye-sore that's ruining visitors enjoyment of an important building, I still stand by the view that they should move it somewhere more fitting.

St Paul's is the only place in the City that they can stay.
