Also i think my 3 year old daughter could of drawn a better logo

I don't doubt that Daisy2002.

Maybe All In London could run a competition for a new logo hosted by QMB, that's if he's still alive???

It's giving people epileptic fits as well isn't it?
For £400,000 you'd've thought they'd might have tested that?

What a roaring success.

I did hear that yeah.

I really can't understand the scale of the Olympic games as an event - the amount of money is crazy. I don't care about the Olympics or athletics in general - it's dull and I don't know anybody that cares about it, and I know in excess of 22 people.

Who cares if someone from Austria can throw further than someone from China? Not me.

I was thinking that...hmm...strange...in more ways than one...Apparently it's staying for good, though, dispite the complaints...

I prefer the Winter Olympics! i think they are more challenging too. I've been to Whistler in Canada which by the way is so AMAZING! and has spectacular views! they're having the winter olympics in 2010. i'll definately be watching that! i think throwing yourself down a steep slope on a pair of skis is more fun than running round in a stadium or throwing a javalin.

These Olympics will be a cash cow for the builders and everyone involved. Just watch the costs spiral out of control, which WE will pay for with taxes, just like the Scottish Parliament Building :veryangry:

Ok i don't want to sound like a miserable cow  but i don't agree with Londoners paying for the olympics.

When i say that to people they jump down my throat & say that Londoners will benefit from all of this.

The thing is how will i benefit? Can someone who understands all this explain this to me please :)

If they mean the new facilities well they are no use to me or anyone i know.
I certainly wouldn't travel for an hour to go to a swimming pool when i could walk to my local one 2 mins away.

I guess they mean the facilities AND the tourism...with business and stuff...Personally, I see it as a perfect target for terrorists...But the Olympics can be quite entertaining...at times...And it's a chance for London to show off to the rest of the world...

I agree, I also wonder where I'll benefit from all the money I'll personally contribute to it, it really should be voluntary - although if that was the case they'd proabably only have sufficient funds to hold the games at Walthamstow Leisure Centre. The assumption is that we'll all benefit from the boost that the games will bring to the London economy. In other words house prices will rise in the East End forcing more first time buyers out of the market :confused2:
