ADVISABLE NOT TO GO TO THE CAT & MUTTON - BROADWAY MARKET/LONDON FIELDS

5 of us spent over £100 for lunch there on Monday for a friend's birthday. It was my first and last time. The service was horrible. They forgot to bring us our coffees, they got orders wrong, what was listed on the board was not what we received on our plate. I noticed several other people in the place either sent their meal back or didn't finish. One man literally advised us not to get the steak and didn't finish his. But none of this compares to me getting my BAG STOLEN! It was wedged in between my legs and my friend's sitting right beside me. There were 5 of us and no one saw anything strange. The manager reacted in a complacent, unaccountable almost even slightly defensive manner. She let slip that their CCTV had not been working for at least 3 weeks and they have around 2 THEFTS A WEEK! She also said, "I don't own the place I'm just the manager." She said there were loads of warnings up. When asked further as to where exactly those warnings were - she informed us they were in the toilet. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. It isn't safe and they obviously don't care about their customers.

I have one thing to say about the parents of the teenage tearaways who are terrorising Hackney.
I will no longer put up with it.

Get control of YOUR KIDS and sort out their BAD ATTITUDES before they get hurt.

Teach them the MEANING of RESPECT before its BEATEN into them.

It's not too late at the momment to turn this arround, BUT TIME IS RUNNING OUT.

Now an open message to you teenage thugs.

I dont care about your CIRCUMSTANCES, ATTITUDE or BELIEFS, whit i care about is MY OWN SAFETY. TRY ANYTHING WITH ME, YOU WILL GET HURT. :Omg: :Omg:

Hi peedoffwithgangs

Harsh words there, a totally understandable point of view though when you see what's going on in certain boroughs of London. I always find it incredibly intimidating when gangs of youths are around. We wouldn't condone the use of violence as a means of dealing with the problem, although when you're faced with this problem daily and nothing is improving it must be difficult to take.

I think it is worth pointing out that Hackney is a big borough and London tends to change street by street. It has always been a poor place and has this in common with a lot of East London. It is location, location, location. Will there be staying next to lots of nice shops and coffee bars or close to a dodgy estate with dodgy yoof hanging around street corners?
