:Omg: ... is it that time of the month again (oo-er)?!

Sorry y'all there won't be a showing from the Friday 4 this month... but you'll be pleased to hear that the new Friday 4 24/7 should be ready in time for the end of March.

This version of the Friday 4 will let you enter at any time of day or the month... (so it isn't really a Friday 4 at all)... BUT it will be timed and you'll all be playing against each other in a Leaderboard... (because you all seemed to enjoy leaderboards so much when we held them before.)

... whoever is at the top of the Leaderboard at the end of the month or quarter or whatever will win a Whopper of a prize. (NOT TO SELF, we could actually give away a "BK Whopper"... would be much cheaper.)

Anyway, watch this space and we should have some news of a launch date soon.

You'll just ahve to entertain yourslef until then...

so the winner will probably be somebody who copies the answers from a comping site. or who registers multiple accounts until they peg the quickest time or just plain cheats? or have you thought of all those problems and got them covered? :laugh:

to be fair to AIL and QMB, they are doing these comps out of the goodness of their hearts and are giving away fab prizes so not sure we should be moaning - they'll stop doing one altogether if we do that :(

looking forward to the new and improved 'FF' soon - BTW what's it going to be called QMB? sounds like FF will have to retire with the new format??

To all the doubters out there (and yes Melanie Crossan, you're very much included in their number ;) )... we certainly HAVE thought of everything... as regularly Friday 4 compers will know: (that apart from the occasional "nearest tube" cock-up :)) we're always on the ball!


... and yes we may have to have a think of a new name for the Friday 4 seeing as it won't strickly be on a Friday now... and probably will have more than 4 questions in it. Hmmm. Thing caps on Development Team... :-?

Hopefully we'll be able to bring you some news shortly.

lol i'm neither a doubter or a moaner, i'm a comper and have seen way too many competitions which are ruined by being timed/leaderboard based, i much prefer a standard prize draw as it offers an element of fairness. when you are up and running i will no doubt pop along to see what its like ;)

... and hey there Daisy... sorry, still not sign of an ETA from the Tech Department on the completed new Friday 4 format. Hopefully it won't be too long though... cos until then I've been demoted to a kind of teaboy/ pot-washer/ "go and get me a doughnut Barry you loser" gofer. All very upsetting.
