Once inside, there are still lots of opportunities to part with your cash so I would thoroughly recommend taking your own camera. Being a muppet, I didn't so I had to shell out for the staff to take 'official photos' of each of the kids with their favourite celebrities.
Despite all that, we had a good time. The waxworks are very realistic and there's enough variety to keep everyone happy. The tour starts with a movie premiere setting featuring the A-list of Hollywood and later rooms include rock stars, sports stars and the Royal Family. There's even a room full of world leaders and politicians, so you can feel that at least your kids got something educational out of the day.
For kids, the best thing about Madame Tussauds is the interactive parts. You can shoot penalties opposite David Beckham in the sports hall or sit in the famous chair and be given a task in the Big Brother exhibit. This breaks up the day nicely and gives you something new to do if you get tired of gawking at famous people.
