Hello

Just signed up at your spot.

Hmm, I am missin Malaysian food, really. I have checked all the Msian restaurants but none posted reviews. Any idea which are worth the trouble? I should be travelling from Northampton. Yeah there is one in Milton K, I know. Wink

Thank you

Hi there,
I've always enjoyed going to Mawar at 175a Edgware Road for a cheap, fast meal after shopping in Oxford street.

I prefer the cooked-to-order food there (nasi goreng, satays etc), but there is always a good selection (chilli fish, beef rengdang, curries) to pick-and-mix for around a fiver. You choose what you want and they microwave it for you.

Can't vouch for authenticity as I've never been to Malaysia. But I do see Chinese/Malay customers often, so that must be a good sign.

I can recommend The Satay House at Turnpike Lane (1 min walk from the tube station). Apart from great satays they do a range of other home made malaysian/singaporean dishes.

Fay Maschler of the Evening Standard has given it good reviews before and it's regularly praised in Time Out (as you will see from the framed copies on the wall!).

And it's not particularly expensive.

Enjoy!
