I was saying that only a gay man, or another woman, would tell a woman that holding her handbag in her elbow, with her arm outstretched as if she's about to fist someone, could possibly look sexy.

I've done it sometimes to keep my handbag more secure. I once carried a bag with the handles over my arm and a drug addict tried to snatch it, resulting in gravel embedded in my knees and blood all over myself. He got 6 years in chokey. I still have the scar on my right forehead where he hit me. So what if it looks stupid. If you feel more secure, that is important.
