Proud to be British?

My Grandad and Great-Grandad fought in both of the wars respectively, I know my Great-Grandad had to be forced out of the army due to a wound in his back.

My dad fought in the 2nd world war, he was in the welsh guards, he told me a lot of things he did an saw, and all I will say is I am proud of my dad.

I'm proud to be British.

I'm proud of British food.

I'm proud of the multi racial communities we live in.

However.......I don't like the benefit system, there is other ways to provide from the state.

I was watching Jamie Olivers Ministry of Food. There were people on there with bigger tv's than i can afford, and worst of all, someone with a double over / six hob cooker and didn't know how to cook !!!!

People on benefits that complain about how little money they have but still smoke 20 a day and live in the pub !!

ha.i had to do a speech on this (:

loads of countries get stereotyped like that though,eg france is stereotyped as having excess armpit hair and liking garlic etc.

im effing proud to be British-think of all the amazing stuff like music(Led Zep,Beatles,Oasis,Pink Floyd..I could go on),buildings(o2,wembley stadium),our food(fish+chips (: cadburys,bangers nd mash,TEA..)and Harry Potter obviously (: and London's awesome too.

the government is what lets this country down :( thats y everyone is moving to spain.

and what gets on my nerves even more is that the money never goes to the people who really need and deserve it, there are people living on the streets who need it a hell of a lot more and yet they dont do anything for them.

and i cant stand the governments view on peadophiles, every country locks them up an deports them back to their own country except ours! its a complete joke!

and also they only care about things when it affects them, tony blair said that if u were drunk in the streets you'd get fined, until his son did it and then it was a big joke.

god i hate the labour party!!!! (thats basically what i was trying to say lol)

its quite amazing how many people's relatives fought in the war, on this forum alone there are a few (thats one thing to be proud of :))

My granddad was a prisoner of war in a Japaneses prison camp for 6 years, he had a right crap time.

I've fought for our country a few times.......sorry, fought for other peoples country's oil stock !!!!

Yeah, it a bit of a dump at times in the UK, but i wouldn't go to Spain, well not to live in a secluded little Britain with lots of drunk Brits, it would have to be in proper Spain !!
