I have finally made the decision to move to London this coming January from California. I am going to stay with my grandma in Richmond for a few months till I get situated. I do have one question. I want to get a part time job in either retail or restaurant and was wondering if it is hard to find jobs. I don't want a full time job because I am moving to London to take a year off and I want to travel. I still want some kind of income so I was thinking about a part time job. I was born in England so I am legal to work there. Anyways any advice would help. Also any other advice for moving to London would help too!

u should be able to find plenty of work as a waitress/barman - they're always on the lookout and as u were born there then u dont have to worry about work visa etc

Richmond is a nice area :)
It would be 'easy' to get a retail or waiteress-type job. Particularly if you're prepared to work on weekends.
Are you sure you want to come here, though? from California?

I've lived in Cali for so long now I just want a change for a bit. I know its hard to believe but I am so sick of waking up to blue skye. We haven't seen rain since Jan.. It does get old after awhile! I miss seasons! Everyone is telling me I will be back in 4 months but if I don't go then I will always regret it. Plus I really can't wait to be able to travel around Europe more easily!

You will love Cali. I have lived in Florida and Cali and traveled all over the States and I wouldn't choose any other state to live in!!!
