The 'sun' is a fictitious thing invented to torment us.

i know that - but its not being able to see the sun that gives u a tan, its the uv rays which com ethrough the clouds n fog n rain or wateva. if u laid outside on a cloudy day or foggy day tahts not raining u would get a tan - n then burnt if u stay out too long ;) believe it or not

...Have you actually ever been to London? I'm afraid that is wishful thinking. We need some sun to shine here to tan and burn. Only needs to be a little sun though. It doesn't have to be too hot and I'll burn in a matter of minutes!

Obviously over time your skin gets slightly darker from being out in the day anyway, hence why my arms are slightly darker than my legs, but that in itself takes time and builds up slowly. It wokld never develop into the kind of tan that people are after like this though.

when it's sunny here I get burnt in 20 minutes :S I have very pale skin and have to be careful. Hence how I don't get burnt on not-sunny days :) I would cook alive in Australia!!

Just wanted to share this with you all for a giggle:

My hubby called me on Friday very cross, I had been give a bottle of Dave's fake tan to try by a pal at work! He thought it was just regular sun cream and plastered it all over his arms face and neck!! A few hours later his hands had turned orange and he was a super shade of bronze...

If anyone met a policeman who looked like tango man .. that was mu old chap

ha ha ha :rolling: :emb: :-? :getmycoat:
