Greetings,

My family and I will be coming to London from the United States for 1 week this summer as part of our European summer vacation.

I've been researching hotels in the central parts and I've decided that we will stay somewhere in the west of center like Notting Hill or Kensington.

What I'd like to know is if anyone has any recommedations for hotels in these places that are good for families, we have 4 kids and so need good sized rooms and entertainment.

Looking forward to your replies.

I happen to know that the Amsterdam Hotel in Trebovir Road (Earl's Court, Kensington) has a very large room at basement level, with direct access to the garden at the back. It contained 3 beds when my sisters stayed there last summer but there's room for extra beds if necessary. Try googling Amsterdam Hotel for contact details. Happy It's very close to all amenities.

Hi, a good family hotel would be the Thistle Marble Arch hotel, they have rooms specially made for this purpose, and loads of interconnecting twins and triple rooms too.

hope this helps.

with kids you really need a self-catering apartment or eating out in London can cost a lot. 4 kids = big restaurant bills.

check out www.202apartments.com for notting hill gate flats to let. friendly place not expensive.

Hi notting hill lady,

Welcome to The Knowledge.

Thanks for your suggestion, those apartments look like a great option for families and in a great location too.

Anyone got any more ideas?

I agree to Petersmith. Had a memorable stay there once. However, [SPAM] has some of the other options too to help you have the best stays.
