Safety and Caution at Premieres

Apparently there have been a few cases of ladies being touched sexually at a few London premieres. Obviously it gets very crammed and squished at these things, but there are people who will take advantage of this. If it happens to you, try to get a picture of the person/s and ideally some kind of evidence. Which is hard, because it's hard to prove that they did something indecent.

This hasn't happened to me at any premieres, so please don't be put off. Likewise I haven't had anything stolen. Just keep your wits about you and if something happens that you are sure is wrong, obviously, tell a police officer and I reckon try to get a pic. At least then, if they can't prove anything, the local police know who to keep an eye out for at these events.

I havent heard of this myself, but its easy to imagine in such large crowds.

People should always take stock of their own possessions and keep things in front pockets.

If you do think someone is touching you inappropriately simply scream and shout. There are enough security and police around that you will be helped instantly.

Not so effective when everyone else is screaming and shouting though ;)

I was alerted to this at the last premiere I went to.

A regular at premieres had told me what happens and pointed out who was doing this. Having been to many premieres in Leicester Square and seeing these same men which over the years I had thought were just regulars at these events I was horrified by what these people were doing.

It does appear lately that there are more police in amongst the crowds so hopefully will put a stop to it.

hiya, well i went to my first premiere tonight and i have to say it was a let down. I actually stood next to a few people who was actually talkin about this. so i guess its true there are some sick people out there.

As for your belongings only take what u really need and make sure it is on u. i had a over the shoulder bag but believe me when u get shoved around u tend 2 get it caught up. as uncool as it sounds use a pouchb bag uno the ones that go around ya waist and sit at the front of u.
my friend took a huge bag which she put dwn by the barriers next to her feet and by the time the premiere finished we had moved dwn the barriers resultin in her stuff being up the barriers.
As much as u ask people to help u find your stuff they dnt care. The police however care. xxx

well i went to the premiere too and there were 2 people totally anoying, crazy hysterical girls and i almost lose my stuff becouse of the rediculus pushing.WHAT BOTHERS ME MOST to these premieres is the people who standing in front of the barriers.I was pissed by 2 girls in front of the barriers only and only becouse i pushed them acidentally when i was getting pushed all the time. These people think becouse they sit in front of the barriers they only have the right to get their precious autographs and talk to the stars and other people cant, specially when you wait for them for 4 or 6 hours in the cold.
and as far for the pushing the police doesnt do much just like in the hsm or the fast and the furious premiere when the stars comes to you they all keep pushing soooooooo hard that you can lose balance and fell down, and i didnt hear anyone from the police say STEP BACK NOW.only 1 sec guy said it today and noone listened ofcourse.
AND I HATE ZAC EFRON lol

Well two things (and I wasnt there):

1) Premiere regulars usually wont be horrible hysterical. Often first timers act the worst and give everyone a bad name.

2) Sorry, but if they were there first why should they let you go ahead? Im tall and Ive had people tell me, after Ive been there for 4 or 5 hours, to kneel down so they can see everything?! As if!

True. When I've got there at 8am and have waited all day to get my spot at the front I can't stand it when someone I saw arrive much later trying to squeeze in next to me and squash me. If you can get your arm through with your autograph book without having your arm resting on my head or waving your book in my face, then fine, get your autograph. Those at the very front get squashed far more than the rest of the crowd. There's a metal fence there that isn't as relenting as a human body.

I try to avoid the premieres with the teenage girl fanwhords for the sake of my ears lol. Not meaning to cause offence here but Jesus you don't need to scream so much!!!
