I would really like to go to the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is happening this July. I understand that tickets may be hard to come by, although I’d like to try. I live about an hour and a half to two hours away from London (maximum). The one thing that I wondered is, I do have some experience in journalism. I’m only a youngster (17) -- but I’ve had a few things published nationally, critiqued for a film website, interviewed an international bestseller and won a number of writing competitions. I wondered whether this could help me in someway, as I would quite like to cover the event.

But I’m not sure who to contact about this. What’s the best way to go about it?

Any help or tips appreciated!

Wow, I'm the same as you and would LOVE to get into journalism/writing. How did you get so many amazing opportunities, if you don't mind me asking? As for coming by premiere tickets, I'm not sure how you'd get to cover such a huge event as the HP premiere but for information on upcoming premieres/chances to win tickets to them you could always check www.flicksandpopcorn.co.uk - they tend to provide links to competition websites etc. Other than that just keep your eye out in newspapers, magazines, even the official film website for related comps. I'm sure there'll be some somewhere, and even if not now then definitely nearer the time.

Good luck!
