Hey guys! Never thought I'd find myself posting a topic of this nature...

I'm going to be working at the Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire and need a place to stay. I will be travelling by train from the South West. I could arrive at Watford Junction or London Waterloo, depending on whether I take the megatrain or not. Would it be best to stay in central London and travel to the studios via tube/train (bearing in mind I have to be there before 7am) or stay in Watford or Leavesden? I'm not sure if this is making much sense. Seeing as I don't drive, I would prefer to stay as close to the studios as poss, as I have to be there early in the morning. A hostel would be ideal. Cheap as poss! If anyone has any ideas, please help me!

Thank you!!

Here is the address: Leavesden Studios, South Way, Leavesden, Herts, WD25 7LS.

Hey Aly its me again! Your so so so lucky your getting the chance to work there, a few of my mates had work experience there about a month ago and said it was awesome! I actually like right next to Watford, and have lived there before so know quite a lot about it. I would recommend you as close as possible because of traveling and sometimes the trains around Watford can be pretty unreliable, its also a fair distance from Wat. Junc. to the studios which would cost a lot by cab, and i dont think any busses go to near it! If you look on google theres a few decent places you can stay and that wont cost you an arm and leg! if you need any more info let me know! have fun!

Thanks Nads, but I've got a place now :)

I'll be leaving soon! Eeeek! Soooo nervous! I'm gonna be taking my bike so I don't have to spend £40 on taxi's from the B&B to the studios. Anyone ever taken their bike on a train or tube before?

Hello!

I know. Unbelievably lucky!! I was supposed to be going to see my parents this week. But this is so much more important ;) What did your mates do when they were there?
Cheers for the advice edwardse. I'm gonna be taking my bike so won't have to spend money on taxi's. I'm staying at the Berrygrove Lodge, which is about 20mins from Watford Junction. Do you know of it?

Great stuff Aly, well done :)

You should be fine with the bike on the train although not on a tube, good thinking, taxis would cost a fortune.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

I looked it up and as long as I'm not on the tube at peak times, then it's ok. I hope it will be... :-? Kinda worried now...

Anyways, will let you know how it goes.

Bye for now

Make sure you take it before rush hour! I forgot about that. Had to wait in London for 3 hours! Rush hour is 4-7.
