Jobsworth TFL employees

The other weekend a jobsworth bus driver wouldn't accept a cash payment on the bus for a ticket, even though the stop was a temporary one and the next one along with a machine was closed off. He said that I'd have to walk back to the last stop and buy a ticket

It was a sunday evening the bus was nearly empty and I'd just got back from a long train ride to Euston. I've seen other drivers accept money in zone 1 and I assume it's at the drivers discretion, this driver seemed to take great pleasure in telling me that I'd have to get the next bus - ended up getting a cab.
