Just wondering how many of you lovely people have seen the brilliance that is Avenue Q? and if so what did you think?

Being a musical theatre buff ive seen it a few times and it really is one of the funniest things you'll ever see in your life! They're not wrong when they say it should be on the NHS!

The current principles in the cast Simon Lipkin (Trekkie/Nicky) Julie Atherton (Kate/Lucy) and Jon Robyns (Princeton/Rod) are leaving on 1st December. I have my ticket for their last show and am looking forward to it as im sure the atmosphere will be great, although they will be missed when they leave are they're fantastic.

For anyone who hasn't seen the show I'd really recommend it (although it's not for the easily offended!) it's one of the only musicals that I know 'people who don’t like musicals' enjoy! And if you can see it before the cast switch on December 1st, it really is worth seeing Simon, Julie and Jon as they're great at what they do!!

Thanks for that Elpul :)

Haven't been to it yet, don't get to go to shows in the West End as much as I'd like these days.

For anyone who's interested we can provide tickets to this show here:

I really enjoyed it. I think there are certain times when you can get very cheap tickets, so that was useful for me & my friends being poor students. :)

i don't want to put a dampener on things, but am i the only one that didn't think it was amazing? i went a few months ago and thought it was ok but not THAT great. some of it felt a bit try-hard and i didn't feel that there was that much of a story to it...maybe i'm just not intellectual enough and am missing the point??

interesting to find someone who didn't enjoy it so much and hear your view point.

i personally loved it...have seen it 5 times and will be going to see it with the new cast for the first time in a few weeks. im interested to see if i like it as much with new people playing the three lead roles.

I know this is a bit of a late reply, but I thought I'd post in here as Avenue Q is unfortunately leaving London next month! :( Is anyone going to see it whilst it's still out? It is going on tour from Feb 2011 though.
