have family, have 700K, need to buy somewhere in london

Hiya,

I recently..had the luck, of getting a 100K a year job in london near paddington, and need to decide what part of london to buy property.

I have spent ages looking and need advice. I have a small child, a wife who needs to be close to the centre for work (needs to drive often)..

Preferably 4 beds and (i wish) somwhere for the car to be parked.

Most important is quietness, ease of access to london, and good schools.

Areas that spring to mind with easy access to central London and paddington:

North West:
St John's Wood
Maida Vale

Centre West:
Notting Hill
Holland Park

Not sure about the schools situation but these areas have plenty of wealthy people and so schools are likely to be of a good standard.

700K should get you a 4 bed place in these areas, off street parking might be tricky though.
