advice for a night out this thursday

Hello hello - newbie alert.

I've friends coming to London to do some work in Feltham (which I've already been told not much goes on there) and we're having a night out this Thursday.

I live north west london (jubilee line) and am looking for a middle ground where we can have a decent night out and all get home safely.

I've been in london a couple of years now but dont take advantage of what it has to offer so I've no clue where to go - only ever really go local or to Camden.

We like pretty much everything but i know my friends would probably avoid bars with a goth or heavy metal theme.

Any tips / advice would be much appreciated.

You could all meet somewhere like Notting Hill, lots of nice bars/clubs and restaurants

Or, you could go into the West End, further for them to travel but they'd get a proper taste of London nightlife then.

Personal Bar recommendations:

The Loop, The Warwick, Cheers Bar (not for everyone but good for a beer), Waxy O'Connor's in Soho.

There's loads of places to choose from. Surprising as it may sound London can feel a bit deserted in some areas on a weekday night so if you want a lively place you're best to go for the touristy areas.
