Famous Covent Garden restaurant Tuttons is set to re-open in June with a new look and an English-accented menu following a multi million pound investment and extensive refurbishment.
The hugely-popular all-day brasserie and bar is being transformed by renowned interior design company Russell Sage Studios whose recent projects include The Savoy, Zetter Townhouse, the RAC Club and recently the Royal Suite at the Goring. The new interior will celebrate Tuttons’ prime position on Covent Garden’s piazza, offering unrivalled views of the bustling scene for its customers.
The new menu draws its inspiration from the history of Covent Garden as a market garden and features classic dishes with an English ‘accent’ celebrating great homegrown fruit and vegetables distributed for generations from Covent Garden Market. Indeed, so passionate is the head chef about using the freshest ingredients, he will provide some of the vegetables such as broad beans, runner beans and peas from his allotment
The restaurant will incorporate a number of award-winning English wines including the celebrated Nyetimber Classic Cuvee. Two further wines, a sauvignon blanc and pinot noir, from the New Zealand vineyard of former owner Paul Tuttons will also be served.
In addition to Tuttons’ celebrated grill selection including its 28-day hung steaks and popular Cote de Boeuf some of the new dishes include:
