All your Christmases come at once at Balans

Christmas and New Year celebrations

Balans is delighted to announce that its Earl’s Court, Kensington and Soho restaurants will be open from 9am until 6pm on Christmas Day. Receive plenty of compliments of the season – and take the stress out of festive entertaining – with a gourmet three course extravaganza prepared by Balans' expert chefs and served by its fabulously friendly staff.

Alongside turkey and Christmas pudding, Balans’ awesome alternatives include starters of the calibre of pan seared scallops with cauliflower purée & crisp pancetta and beef carpaccio with shaved fennel & parmesan. Main courses comprise such irresistible offerings as pan roasted venison fillet or sea bass stuffed with prawns & spinach, all rounded off by the likes of tiramisu or warm chocolate cake. And all this for just £59.95 inclusive of mince pies and coffee or tea.

Meanwhile if you are yet to sort out your plans for New Year’s Eve, then read on. Balans Kensington and Earl’s Court are throwing open their doors for a Prohibition Era-styled extravaganza sponsored by Woodford Reserve, the celebrated sour mash bourbon from Kentucky's oldest distillery. Come down and enjoy a memorable night complete with silent films and cocktails served in teacups and teapots. The special menu is an exciting twist on festive favourites, including such treats as turkey pâté on crostini; carpaccio of beef with horseradish mousse; skewered turkey with all the trimmings served with bread sauce; sage & onion balls glazed in cranberry sauce and cocktail mini sausages glazed with honey & grain mustard. A 3am curfew will ensure that the celebrations carry on until the early hours and, best of all, unlike many other establishments, Balans won’t be imposing an entrance charge.

Finally, any over indulgence the night before can be remedied at all Balans restaurants. Open from 9am on New Year’s Day, they are the ideal place to come for the perfect pick me up!
