Salaam Namaste, a modern Indian restaurant nestled in the heart of London's Bloomsbury, is proud to be launching a brand new menu to reflect the sleek redesign of its contemporary styled restaurant. The menu will showcase exciting new flavours grown across the Indian subcontinent, combining its traditional well-loved classic culinary dishes with more diverse and progressive recipes.
Sabbir Karim, patron chef of Salaam Namaste and winner of the ‘Chef of the Year’ title in both the British Curry Awards and the Asian Curry Awards 2012, is excited to introduce his customers to a variety of new taste sensations that can be found across India, but are rare to find on UK menus.
“Salaam Namaste’s new dishes are designed to show off the wide range of spices and flavours found in Indian cooking,” says Sabbir Karim. “We are delighted to share these new flavour discoveries with our guests, I hope they enjoy trying the new menu as much as I have enjoyed creating it!”
Highlights from the new selection of grills include: Whole Baked Butterfly Mackerel, served with cumin new potatoes, cucumber and a rocket and watercress salad, Ginger Lamb Chops marinated in fresh ginger paste and papaya, and Tandoori Ajwain Salmon, marinated with yoghurt, crushed ginger, garlic, mint and coriander and served with plum relish.
There are also a new range of mouth-watering traditional curries on offer, including: Travancore Chicken Curry (a Keralan speciality dish cooked in a masala sauce of garlic, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and ginger), Lamb Shank ‘Kaliyan’ (simmered in a rich aromatic sauce with dauphinoise potato) and Moru Kachiathu (a sweet and savoury dish of mangoes and green bananas cooked in yoghurt with green chillies, ginger and fresh curry leaves).
