Busaba Eathai launches cocktail lounge

Innovative drinks and food...

Alan Yau’s acclaimed Thai restaurant group, Busaba Eathai, will launch its very first bar within its popular Old Street site today. Located in East London’s buzzing Hoxton area, the new cocktail lounge will serve creative cocktails, designed by award winning bartender Joe Stokoe of drinks consultancy, Heads, Hearts and Tails.

The cocktail list will showcase the exotic tastes and ingredients that Thailand is renowned for. Cocktails will include Lychee and Kaffir Lime Martini (jasmine and kaffir lime infused vodka with lychee and lemon); Thai Martini (gin with lemongrass, Thai basil and birdseye chilli tincture); Nam Thang Mo (Rum blended with watermelon, kaffir lime, guava and chilli); Bangkok Mule (gin with galangal, Thai basil and ginger beer); Lao Kong (green tea infused whisky with pineapple and honey cinnamon syrup); and Tamarind Negroni (gin, martini and Campari with tamarind syrup). A range of craft beers, including Gamma Ray from Beavertown and Saison from Brew By Numbers, and Thai whiskies will also be available alongside a menu of small plates inspired by the team’s recent trip to Thailand. Channelling Busaba’s authentic Thai menu, created by Executive Chef Jude Sangsida, dishes will include Thai beef jerky, taro chips, prawn and corn fritters, crispy rice cakes, chicken wings and por-pia jay.

The Busaba bar will appeal to drinkers from across London seeking a lively and sociable atmosphere to enjoy innovative drinks and food. Open seven days a week, the venue is set to be the new go-to destination in East London.
