Keen followers of MasterChef who watched Head Chef, Adam Handling mentoring contestants through the intricate techniques of his many-layered dishes, can experience all of the five featured recipes for themselves with a brand new tasting menu at the Caxton Grill, St James’s Park.
A finalist in last year’s closely fought MasterChef: The Professionals, Adam has also been crowned British Culinary Federation’s Chef of the Year 2014. At just 25 years of age, Adam is regarded as a rapidly rising talent to watch. As Head Chef at the Caxton Grill, Adam works with the finest ingredients and is meticulous in his attention to detail of his dishes, which offer a wonderful complexity of flavour and texture. He creates delicious menus to inspire and excite through inventive dishes that offer an unexpected ‘harmony’.
The five-course MasterChef tasting menu of Adam’s signature dishes, starts with a delicate Lobster dish of butter poached lobster, chicken, coconut and fragrant lemongrass broth; second course is Halibut, served with oysters, octopus and cucumber; followed by his ashed Herefordshire beef fillet with burnt vegetables, ricotta and duck ravioli plus truffle. The menu then moves to sweeter territory with Adam’s Chocolate orange – an intriguing exploration of temperatures and textures before concluding with his Pear sorbet, poached pear and elderflower pannacotta.
Served at dinner only, with last orders taken by 9pm, the new tasting menu costs £70 per head, including a glass of Lauren Perrier Brut on arrival, or £110 per person with paired Lauren Perrier champagnes throughout. For reservations please book online at www.caxtongrill.co.uk or call 0800 652 1498.
