Inspired by Consultant Chef Ping Coombes Malaysian roots in the town of Ipoh, the new Laksa Bar will offer three different types of the traditional noodle dish - Traditional Laksa from Malaysia (£13.95) consisting of a spicy broth, tofu, prawn, fish balls, boiled egg and vermicelli noodles, Katong Laksa priced at £13.95, a Singaporean noodle soup and Tom Yum Laksa, a Thai version of the Malaysian favourite, with a choice of chicken for £12.95 or prawns for £13.95. Guests are invited to enjoy a steaming bowl of Laksa at the open bar so they can watch the chefs prepare the different broths.
