Air bridges won’t stop Octoberfest celebrations this year thanks to St Pancras International’s 10-day long Beer Festival. As a station famously built around the brewing and transporting of beer, on the 1st of October, the iconic London destination will celebrate 152 years of shaping drinking culture in the capital, by launching its third annual Beer Festival.

Following government guidelines to ensure a safe and secure calendar of events for visitors to discover, this month, some of the station’s most-loved pubs and restaurants have joined forces to create an Octoberfest-style celebration to remember, whether it’s in the station, on staycation or in the comfort of your own home (you can even enjoy it past even past 10pm - so long as you are following the rules!)

To mark the occasion, artisan food and beverage experts Sourced Market have created an exclusive chilled carry case, perfect for grabbing and going on your travels, of six specially selected craft beers from some of the UK’s top breweries, available exclusively at the St Pancras International flagship store for just £15.

Throughout the festival, the stations oldest and internationally-renowned pub, The Betjeman Arms, will be offering their dine in visitors an exclusive complimentary beer flight with any main meal, complete with three 1/3 pint tasters from the pub’s best brewers, to keep the spirit of the beer festival alive at a distance.

As well as enjoying 20% off pints at the bar, customers of the station’s latest arrival, The Barrel Vault, will be offered the chance to take part in virtual ale tasting. Unique QR codes will be on display at various points throughout the pub, allowing customers to view the details of each of their ales via smartphone, ensuring an enjoyable and safe experience for all.

Plus, beer-fans should keep a close eye on St Pancras International’s social channels, as the pubs will be running social competitions throughout the festival. Lucky winners will have the chance to win exclusive prizes including a bumper beer box, complete with 12 craft brews and farmers-market style snacks, courtesy of Sourced Market; a £30 gift card to spend at Barrel Vault.

Wendy Spinks, Commercial Director HS1 Ltd said, “As we continue to follow government guidelines to create a safe and enjoyable environment, we are proud that our pub and restaurant partners have come up with new and exciting ways to celebrate the station’s long history with beer, as we adapt to the current challenges.”
